Old Cemetery in the Marsh - North of Steel Bridge
There is an old cemetery in the marsh north of
Steel Bridge. There are head stones that date back to 1912 and 1934. The cemetery is small and had a very dilapidated wire fence around in 1998. The Langruth History Book has information about Marshland and the people who lived there but no mention of a cemetery; on pages 67-71 there are three names: Pall Arnason - passed away January 17, 1912; Engibjorg Erlendsdottir Gudmundson passed away May 2, 1934; and Grimur Gudmansson passed away in March of 1931.
