Board of Revision
Fees (New in 2018)
A minimum filing fee of $50.00 must accompany your application form with an additional fee of $10.00 for each $50,000 of assessed value of the property to a maximum of $300.00. The filing fee is refundable in the case where an appeal is reached prior to the Board of Revision sitting. The filing fees are Non-refundable if a decision cannot be made at the Council level and the property owner chooses to file an appeal to the Municipal Board.
Prior to filing a complaint against the liability to taxation, amount of an assessed value, or classification of property, you are encouraged to discuss the matter with the Provincial Municipal Assessment Branch; phone 204-239-3332.

Tax Billing Information
Current Taxes
2020 taxes are due October 31, 2020. All taxes remaining unpaid shall be subject to penalty charges at the rate of 1.0% per month. Penalties are for the whole month, and they are applied the first day of the month. If there are arrears on your statement it is best to contact our office prior to payment for total amounts due as the amounts on the tax bill do not include up to date penalty application.
Discount
The discount rates for pre-payment is as follows: January 2%, February 1.5%, March 1%, April .75%, May .25%, June - October PAR.
Payment Options
Taxes, Utilities, and Accounts can be paid in person via debit card,
cash, cheque, or on-line banking.
To use on-line banking contact the Municipal Office for your account
number. Using the proper account number is very important to ensure that the
proper rolls and accounts are credited.
Please include the portion of your bills with the Account or Roll number if you are mailing in cheques to ensure that the proper account is credited.
Tax Statements & Owner Information
The property owner's name and address which appears on your tax statement is in accordance with the latest information and advice which has been made available to the Municipality. Address changes can be made directly through the Municipal office. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE MUNICIPAL OFFICE BE ADVISED PROMPTLY OF ANY CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP OR MAILING ADDRESS IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT THE TAX BILL IS PROPERLY FORWARDED. It should be noted for future reference that failure to receive a bill does not excuse an owner from liability for any late payment penalty. Tax arrears and penalties must be paid in full before payment can be applied to current taxes. Any changes to ownership or names must be made through the Winnipeg Land Titles Office at 204-945-2042
Properties in arrears for taxes for two years or more will be eligible for tax sale.
